The Veneers Process

Before we even begin your treatment, we invite you to come in for a consultation. During this appointment, we’ll go over your specific concerns and talk with you about your goals for your smile. We will even work with you to design your perfect smile using computer software. The lab will use this design to create your veneers, so the look we create is the one you’ll ultimately leave our office with.

To prepare your teeth for veneers, we will remove a small bit of enamel from each tooth receiving a veneer. This ensures that your veneers will have a slim profile and blend in with surrounding teeth. After removing the enamel, we’ll take impressions of your teeth to send to the lab. Once your veneers are ready, you’ll come in for one more appointment where we’ll fit and bond your veneers. You will leave our office with a beautiful new smile that you can care for like normal.

Uses for Dental Veneers

Dental Veneers FAQs

Are veneers permanent?

Part of the tooth enamel is removed to make room for the veneers so the procedure is permanent. Your veneers can be repaired if they are damaged but they will be replaced with another veneer.

How do veneers work?

Veneers are thin pieces of porcelain that are bonded to the front of your natural teeth to correct flaws in your smile. Even though veneers are thin, the porcelain is very strong and can actually strengthen your existing tooth. Porcelain veneers look completely natural and you care for them like natural teeth.

Are veneers covered by insurance?

Because veneers are often considered a cosmetic procedure, they are not normally covered by insurance. However, some insurance companies will cover a portion of the cost if the veneers are part of a smile restoration. Our Farmington, AR dental office will work with you to determine what percentage of your treatment might be covered by your insurance.

How much do veneers cost?

The cost of veneers varies depending on numerous factors, including which teeth will be covered. Veneers are one of the more expensive treatments because of the high quality materials and craftsmanship involved in creating them. However, porcelain veneers may be more affordable than you think. Before your treatment begins, our doctors will go over the costs so there are no surprises. Farmington Dental and Orthodontics offers in-house financing and works with CareCredit to make it easier for our patients to pay for their smile upgrades.

Are veneers right for me?

Dental veneers are extremely versatile and can be customized to solve many different smile problems. Because of this they are very popular, not only with celebrities, but with regular people too! The only way to know for sure if veneers will work for you is to come into our Farmington dental office for a consultation with our doctors.
