Do I need treatment for my snoring?
It’s relatively common for most people to snore on occasion, especially if they have a stuffy nose or they’re in a deep sleep. However, if you frequently wake yourself up by snoring loudly or regularly hear complaints from people in your household, we recommend investing in an anti-snoring device. Snoring occurs when the muscles and soft tissue in the back of the throat relax too much, which shrinks the airway and causes the soft tissue to vibrate and produce noise. Snoring treatments that keep the airway open throughout the night tend to be very effective at reducing and eliminating snoring.
What is Silent Nite®?
Silent Nite is a clear, custom oral appliance that is designed to fit over the patient’s teeth perfectly. It works by shifting the patient’s jaw slightly forward, which helps prevent the airway from constricting. This helps the patient continue breathing easily throughout the night, which also makes it a great treatment for patients with mild sleep apnea. Our team can take impressions of your smile in our office and send them to an off-site lab. Once your custom oral appliance arrives at our office, you are free to pick it up and begin using it right away!
Is Silent Nite expensive?
Custom nightguards tend to be more of an investment than store-bought oral appliances due to the fact that they are personalized based on the patient’s unique smile. Our office is insurance friendly, and we recommend checking with your provider to see if your Silent Nite mouthguard can be fully or partially covered. We also offer in-house financing and accept payment plans through CareCredit®, which can divide the cost of your oral appliance into manageable monthly payments.
We want our snoring treatments to be budget-friendly and accessible for as many patients as possible, so if you have any financial questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us!
